To facilitate international professional talent employment in China, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality issued the International Professional Qualification Recognition Catalog (2023) on Dec. 7, 2023. 

Professionals holding certificates listed in the catalog, which are still valid, and engaging in professional work consistent or similar to the qualifications indicated in the certificate, and who have worked in Shenzhen for more than one year, may apply for the evaluation of a higher-level professional title. 

Their overseas work experience can be recognized in the Chinese professional title evaluation. There is no need to issue a separate certificate for the equivalent professional title; it is only used for applying for the evaluation of a higher-level professional title. 

Specific application requirements are subject to the 2023 Shenzhen annual professional title application notice.
