Shenzhen is offering citywide apartment stays to graduates who obtain college, undergraduate or higher academic degrees/diplomas between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2026, and are seeking jobs in the city. Eligible graduates can stay rent-free for 15 days.

Those who graduate earlier or later must submit additional documentation — for example, a university or official certificate confirming “2026 graduation status.”

While rent is waived, graduates are responsible for utilities (water and electricity) and a service fee for cleaning and maintenance upon departure. A refundable deposit of 500 yuan is required upon arrival. Graduates who wish to extend their stay beyond the initial free 15 days can receive a 188-yuan coupon (valid for 365 days) that can be applied toward rent.

The apartments come with basic amenities, including furniture, air conditioning, and a water heater. Some locations also offer gyms, shared kitchens, and study rooms. Career guidance, job listings, tips for living in Shenzhen, and community events are provided as well.

Applicants can apply through the “安居乐寓公寓” WeChat miniprogram. Tap the “深梦扬帆” logo, enter a location keyword (for example, 坪山 for Pingshan District) to search available apartments, and select accommodation dates. 

Applicants must upload proof of their education; the free 15-day stay is available only once per person. Because the application requires verification, it is recommended to apply at least five days before the intended stay.

In Pingshan District, the free apartments (安居乐寓坪山大万新村店) are located in Dawan New Village (大万新村). To reach the site, take Shenzhen Metro Line 16 to Pinghuan Station (坪环站) and walk about 600 meters south. The property is near Maluan Subdistrict Office, BYD headquarters, and Pingshan Innovation Plaza.

Since the program launched in Shenzhen in November 2024, nearly 20,000 graduates have benefited from the free apartments; 41.12% found jobs during their accommodation period.
