A group of Hong Kong tourists recently visited many spots in Pingshan as part of the “Explore Pingshan, Discover the Future” Pingshan Cultural Tourism Season’s autumn event.

During their trip, they explored cutting-edge technological innovations and enjoyed a slow-paced cultural lifestyle. The tourists traveled around Pingshan on the SkyShuttle trains, from which they had a clear view ofthe picturesque scenery in the district.

From the BYD North Station, they entered the BYD headquarters’ hexagon building to view the new-energy vehicle company’s latest technologies. Then they entered the SkyShuttle Control Center to learn more about the autonomous driving technology.

Pingshan attaches great importance to cultural development, with a large number of public cultural facilities such as the Pingshan Library, Pingshan Art Museum and Pingshan Theater. The district is also a powerhouse for industry, gathering leading companies such as BYD, SMIC and Honor, forming three advanced manufacturing clusters in intelligent vehicles, innovative medicines and China-made chips.

The “Explore Pingshan, Discover the Future” Pingshan Cultural Tourism Season’s autumn event combines Pingshan’s unique natural ecological resources, traditional Hakka houses, and technological resources. Five distinctive tourist routes have been selected for the event, featuring 20 scenic spots and more than 50 shops and homestays, in partnership with six travel agencies.
