Experts, investors, and enterprise representatives from the semiconductor sector spoke on the development of the industry recently at the Pingshan venue of the 6th Shenzhen International Maker Week, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

Over 150 guests, including representatives from nearly 60 semiconductor companies and 40 investment service agencies, attended the meeting to share their ideas on how to further develop the semiconductor industry in Pingshan.
The event, also a sub-venue of the China International OLED Industry Conference 2020, livestreamed the activities at the Guangzhou sub-venue.
Pingshan already owns an integrated circuit cluster that covers the research and manufacturing of semiconductor facilities and materials as well as a complete industrial chain of the integrated circuit sector that incorporates everything from design, manufacture, packaging and testing to system application.
Currently more research institutions, public service agencies and industry associations are being established.
Pingshan is determined to become a center of the integrated circuit industry in the Greater Bay Area. Investors are encouraged to start semiconductor businesses and invest in the industry within the district.
