On Aug. 24, Biling Community held a summer Go training activity for the children of migrant workers. This training has 10 courses, attracting 80 children, aged 6 to 9, to participate in.
Wang Kun and Yao Yang are two professional Go coaches invited to train those kids. They started the courses from the origin and history of Go and then taught the rules of Go, which stimulated the interest of the children.
"The family has bought all the equipment needed for Go training. My son plays with me happily,” said a parent at the scene. He told the reporter that since the children take part in the Go training, they become more and more interested in it.
The person in charge of the activity said that the Go training not only enables children to make progress in chess skills, but also fosters their abilities in communication and cooperation, and improves their manners with the help of the treasure of traditional culture, so as to promote the improvement of their comprehensive qualities.
