Foreigners must apply for a work permit and work certificate if they want to work in China.

2. The applicant should present the following documents to the Shenzhen Administration of Foreign Experts (1/F, East Block, Xincheng Building, 1025, Shennan Road Central, Futian District):

• Application form with the applicant's photo, sized 26mm x 38mm, with his/her company's official seal on the photo
• Resume with the applicant’s signature and his/her company's official seal
• Work contract or work intention paper with the applicant's signature and his/her company's official seal
• Photocopies of the applicant's passport and proof of education. If the documents are not in Chinese, Chinese translations with his/her company's official seal are needed.
• Photocopies of the applicant's company's corporate certificates
• Health certificate issued by an official institution. If the documents are not in Chinese, a Chinese translation with his/her company's official seal is needed.

If the foreign applicant is accompanied by relatives, their passport photocopies, marriage certificate (if married to applicant) and children's birth certificates should also be presented.
