Foreigners who work at educational, journalistic, scientific, publishing, cultural, financial, trading, technological, engineering and health institutions, as professional employees, management staff or executives, can apply for foreign expert certificates. The foreign experts should have a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience in their field.

Foreigners holding foreign expert certificates can get discounts when purchasing admissions or tickets at some leisure venues in China.

The applicant should present the following documents to the Shenzhen Administration of Foreign Experts (1/F, East Block, Xincheng Building, 1025, Shennan Road Central, Futian District):

1.Application form with the applicant's photo, sized 26mm x 38mm, with his/her company's official seal on the photo and an official letter downloaded from? 

2.Resume with the applicant's signature and his/her company's official seal

3.Work contract with the applicant's signature and his/her company’s official seal

4.Photocopies of the applicant's passport and proof of education. If the documents are not in Chinese, Chinese translations with his/her company's official seal are needed.

5.Photocopies of the applicant's company's corporate certificates

6.Health certificate issued by an official institution. If the documents are not in Chinese, Chinese translations with his/her company's official seal are needed.

7.Foreigners' work permit, issued by the Shenzhen Administration of Foreign Experts

If the foreign applicant is accompanied by relatives, their passport photocopies, marriage certificate (if married to applicant) and children's birth certificates should also be presented.
