Video game music night at Hou Live

Video Game Orchestra, a Boston-based project that performs its own “rockestral” arrangements of video game music with a rock band, orchestra and choir, will present a night of video game music in Shenzhen.

The project was created by Shota Nakama, a producer who graduated from Berklee College of Music and The Boston Conservatory. Compared with other existing major video game concert acts, which mostly focus on the pure orchestral performances, the rock band element is the core essence of the Video Game Orchestra. Their concerts are presented as a rock show with entertaining audience engagement, improvised solos and 1980s-like show tricks on stage.

At the Shenzhen concert, music from the “Devil May Cry” series, “Final Fantasy XV,” “Metal Gear Solid,” “Castlevania,” “Sonic the Hedgehog” and numerous other franchises will rock out the crowd.
